Wasn't sure a titanium handle would make much difference until I actually used it — sparks fly way better than my old rod and it doesn't rust after a wet weekend. The stubby length tucks into my sheath tube without sticking out.

The stubby size fits perfectly in the ferro rod loop on my bushcraft sheath, no more rod sticking out and snagging on branches. Throws sparks just as well as the longer one I used for years.

Bought this to replace the long ferro rod in my sheath tube and the stubby size fits way better without sticking out. The titanium handle feels solid and it throws sparks just as well as my old full-size rod.
